The storm passes, the sun comes back out, and suddenly everybody convinces themselves the roof is perfectly fine again 😂🌤️

Meanwhile, hail damage, lifted shingles, and weakened areas are just sitting there waiting to become a bigger problem later on.

Yesterday, the Quick Roofing team came together for a bake sale supporting the Wounded Warrior Project ❤️🤍💙

It was amazing seeing our team and community come together for such a great cause. From baked goods to donations, every little bit helped support wounded veterans and their families.

After the bake sale, we took all of the leftover treats to our local police and fire departments as a small thank you for everything they do for our community every day. 🇺🇸🚔🚒

We’re grateful for the opportunity to give back and proud to support those who serve others both near and far.

2–3 inch hail doesn’t just leave a mark it can compromise your entire roof system the second it hits.

When hail this size strikes, it can knock off protective granules, exposing shingles to faster wear and sun damage. It can also bruise the fiberglass mat underneath, creating weak spots that may turn into cracks or leaks over time.

It doesn’t stop at shingles - ridge caps, vents, flashing, and other key areas often take direct hits and can fail much sooner than expected.

The tricky part is most of this damage isn’t visible from the ground. A roof can look fine from your driveway but already be compromised up close.

We’re still seeing this all across Iowa after last weeks storm.
