We have been quiet but not because we have not been busy. As you know, Freedom Forever filed bankruptcy yesterday which means another solar giant has fallen… we are NOT the same. We have been in business since 2015, licensed and certified in many solar systems and family owned… it matters.

This latest fall of a solar company just means there will be thousands who will have systems which at some point may need service and we are still here troubleshooting systems. We have helped many clients who have been left in the dark to get their systems up and running. Also, we have been busy with roofing companies because roof replacements will always be a thing.

Finally, please understand, even though your solar installer may have gone out of business, we will service or troubleshoot your system BUT it does come at a cost. Even if your installer promised this or that, we are still a small business and charge as needed. It’s just like your AC, if it needs serviced you pay a technician a fee so it makes sense.

We have been super busy with D&R for roofing companies. What’s D&R you ask? Detach and reset a solar system when you need a new roof.
We work with several roofers and we have seen some crazy things and some which are dangerous and thankfully nothing happened due to the solar company who originally installed it. We recently came across this lovely finding of DUCT tape instead of the proper attachments…. I can’t make this stuff up. These companies say they offer a warranty, but how is this solving any problems which is why so many oppose solar.
We could post these pics all the time but it’s a PSA to make sure you do your research. If you need a new roof, make sure the ROOFING company uses certified/insured solar contractors who are licensed to work on your system.
So many like to cut corners to save money but at what cost…..

As a small business, we pride ourselves in leaving things better than we find them and up to code to prevent any issues.

Let’s talk about why it’s important on who performs your detach and reset. A detach and reset is when you need a new roof and your roofing company hires a company to remove and reinstall the solar system.

This is a former client who had her roof replaced and we noticed on our end that her system wasn’t producing. We reached out and she informed us the crew who reinstalled had so much trouble that day and claimed it was working but as we can see… not true. The dark blue panels are the ones not reporting.

All this to say, we are certified and licensed in numerous systems, so please know whoever touches your solar system SHOULD be certified and licensed to work on your system.

D&R?? Detach and Reset. We have worked and continue working with numerous roofing companies who trust us to detach a solar system to replace the roof and then return to reset it.

Sounds easy but there’s more to it. We first test the system to make sure everything is working as it should before we remove it. The roofers do their thing and we come back to install and make sure the system is reset and working as it once was.

There have been times where the homeowner discovers a panel or panels are not producing and we let them know and assist with troubleshooting.

So… if you have solar and need a new roof? Reach out and we can help you. We are licensed and certified in many systems because not just ANYBODY can or should be touching your solar system.

We have been quiet but our reviews speak for themselves loud and clear. Honest is a word he used and we strive to always be honest with clients because it’s the right thing to do.

Remember if you purchase a house with solar, please make sure you get the system inspected to ensure everything is working as designed. This can be done with the original installer or with another company, in case they are no longer in business.

We’re back! We never really went anywhere, but solar slowed down a bit the last couple of months. We have been busy doing all the clerical and inventory for the business which is oh so fun… 💀

For those who don’t know, this is Alfredo Morales and he started SERS back in 2015 to make a difference and make solar make sense. We know many solar businesses went out of business in 2024 and many clients were left in the dark, but we can help. We can inspect your system and make sure it’s working as it should and get you back to producing before the weather heats up in Texas.
