Context:
As some may know, the Lawn Care & Landscaping portion of my career changed this year. Lawn Care accounts were sold early this season and landscaping work came to a halt. Things like slowing business, the economy, work ethic, lack of drive, etc. were not the cause. God simply had some other things in mind that He put into motion. And He did that quickly! Witnessing Him work this last year has been a major highlight of my life.
Recently, He has put a couple items on my mind that I can’t seem to shrug off….hence this post:
Item # 1 - Good people need work/$ to survive
God blessed me with great employee help….for the most part! Most all have been hard workers and grew to be great friends of mine. I’ve always been there to help whoever needs it. Some of these previous employees have reached out recently in search for work this winter. They simply need $ to survive.
Item # 2 - Church/Ministry Aid
Love & Grace needs spreading. I’m talking the God kind. There are plenty of opportunities to increase outreach right here in Bowling Green, KY. Some organizations really need help.
Could both of these items be tackled together? Absolutely. Here’s how:
If you, your friends, or family in the BG area need professional landscaping, painting, or concrete service, please reach out. All (Yes, all) proceeds will go directly to any materials cost, paying these workers, and church/ministry outreach. Proof of receipts for everyone that participates. This ain’t a joke or scam people. I will not be firing business back up, but I will use resources I still have to do whatever I can to help these guys out. And if we can help spread God in the mean time….well that would just be awesome.
Help spread the love in multiple directions by getting stuff you need done….done.
Easy……..IF you help spread the word and reach out. Can’t do the work without the work!

* Yes, I could just work these guys and donate $ to wherever/whomever. But I don’t have the time to be a full on contractor. And bottom line - I believe the alternative is what it’s all about. An opportunity for people to help, connect, & do different.
* Like Gov’t debt….Taxes will be handled - for any skeptics that need to hear it.
* This may not catch traction. It may fail or add stress. But it could also be an opportunity for some good. Trying to help/serve is never a lost cause or waste of time. We should try it more often.
