Be prepared for Friday! 💨

We are preparing for critical wildfire risks Friday, March 14th across our New Mexico and Texas service territories and notifying customers in specific areas that temporary Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS) will likely be implemented to enhance public safety. Weather forecasts predict high wind speeds and low humidity across our Texas and New Mexico service territories. These conditions, combined with excessively dry conditions and an abundance of dead or dry brush and grass, are expected to increase wildfire risk.

We encourage customers to make plans now for potential power outages, especially if they use medical equipment that relies on electric service. As we prepare to perform a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) in targeted areas if needed, crews must inspect every line and piece of equipment for damage before power is restored.
