Want a new fireplace or stove by fall? August is when that decision has to happen.

Installations aren't a same-week job. There's unit lead time, the venting, the masonry around it, and an inspection at the end. Start now and you're burning by the first cold night. Start in November and you're looking at a January install slot.

That's almost always the vent, not the dryer. Lint packs the duct, air stops moving, and your dryer runs longer and hotter to do the same work — which shows up on the power bill and shortens the life of the machine.

We clean it, inspect it, and reroute it if the run is bad. It's the cheapest thing on our list and one of the most worthwhile.

Every fire you burned last season left a layer behind, and it's still sitting in your flue right now. It doesn't evaporate over the summer. It just waits.
