❄️ Arctic Cold Weather Prep Tips ❄️

With extreme cold headed our way, a few simple steps can make a big difference in comfort, safety, and system performance:

• Change your air filter TODAY. Cold temps mean your system runs longer. A clean filter helps maintain proper airflow and reduces strain.
• Open all supply vents and keep interior doors open during the day so heat can circulate evenly and your system doesn’t have to work as hard.
• Test your carbon monoxide detectors—especially important during heavy heater use.
• Have supplemental heat sources available in case of an emergency.
• If using a fireplace or alternative heat source, make sure it’s properly vented and used according to safety guidelines.

⚠️ Mini-Split Owners – Important:
• Standard mini-splits (not Hyper-Heat or Pro-Heat models) may struggle in extreme cold.
• Turn the unit up and leave it there so it can run continuously and complete its defrost cycles.
• Do NOT turn it on and off—this can delay proper operation and prolong recovery once temperatures warm back up.
