💧 Water Deeply, Not Daily
Water early in the morning 1–2 times per week. Deep, infrequent watering encourages stronger root systems and helps your lawn become more drought-resistant.

A fresh 2–3 inch layer of mulch helps lock in moisture, regulate soil temperature, reduce evaporation, and suppress w**ds—giving your plants the best chance to thrive during the hottest months.

Fall Is for Roots: Protect the Investment You’re Making Above Ground

Fall is one of the best times to plant many trees and shrubs—and in the Texas Panhandle, that timing can make a real difference.
Cooler air reduces stress while soil can remain warm enough for roots to continue developing. That gives a newly planted tree something valuable before another Panhandle summer arrives:

Compost builds the soil. Mulch protects it.

The key is using both correctly. More isn't necessarily better. Compost should be part of a soil-building strategy—not a replacement for native soil—and mulch belongs across the root zone, not piled against the trunk.

Mulch does more than improve curb appeal—it works hard to protect your landscape all season long by:
