We do love ourselves a good yard restoration. Remove a few years of over growth garbage and dead trees replace with some new black mulch and give it a good w**d spray. Good as new! This was a fun project to be apart of.

Out with the planters and in with the pavers I feel like it blended quite nicely we will be doing a full refresh of Polly sand as soon as we are 100% done with installing all paver areas. Very grateful for this job and the experience it is giving us!!

Just need to give it a final compaction with some Polly sand and this is ready for many years to come. It’s a great feel...

Paver step repair. On a sunken wall where all the different walls had settled differently. ( improper installation from the beginning not having your steps leveled together at the foundation) we found a way to level is out and bring it back to functional order. We are happy with how it turned out without full removal and reinstall.

First day back mowing feels good to be back at it again. This is definitely going to be a hot summer. Don’t forget to fertilize to help your grass roots stay healthy. Water early in the morning allowing for time for the water to soak in but also allowing the sun to come up and remove surface water preventing mushrooms and fungal growth.

You will hear us talk about why mulch and landscaping fabric are not a good combination and here is the case in point!

Mulch at 3-4 inches deep is a natural w**d barrier. Over time mulch will break down into an organic rich soil like substance. that when allowed contact with the soil will help feed plants and will also help retain water making for a more drought friendly environment. When you put landscape fabric under the mulch you’re essentially paying for extra product that doesn’t do anything for you. As you can see in the picture over time that mulch broke down creating a rich soil environment for w**ds and grass to thrive in on top of the fabric. Without refreshing the mulch maintaining that 3” layer it was a perfect environment for w**ds and then your left with fabric that has done the opposite of what you wanted it for in the first place.
