☀️ Flower farming isn't always sunshine and rainbows 🌧️

Some days it's dirty feet, muddy hands, weeds that seem to grow faster than the flowers, and rain-soaked dogs following me from row to row. 🐾 Rain or shine, the work still needs to get done.

We've been working hard to get everything planted and ready for the season ahead. 🌿 After months (yes, months) of planting, we're finally getting close to having everything in the ground, and it feels so good to see it all coming together 💐

Every bouquet starts with days like this 🤎

Tulip season is officially over! 🌷

This week we made our final tulip bouquets, using the last stems we had in storage. What a fun first year growing tulips here at Windgate Farms, so many lessons learned and so many beautiful blooms.

I'll be sharing more about what we learned this season soon, but for now, SWIPE to see a few of the last special-order bouquets we created with our final tulips. 💐

As always, the Farm Stand is OPEN and stocked with honey products, candles, baked goods, and fresh eggs. I'm hoping to have fresh flowers stocked on Friday for the weekend! 🌸

Tulip season has wrapped up… and of course I’ve been out here treating the blooms like trophy catches.

Who did it better: Ariel’s tulip harvest or Ryan’s flower fertilizer harvest?

New goodies just arrived at the Farm Stand from Apple Grove Apiary! ✨

We now have local raw honey in multiple sizes, including fun flavored varieties like jalapeño and vanilla! 🍯

They also stocked the stand with:
-Elderberry Syrup
-Organic Herbal Salves
-Honey Throat Spray

Come check it all out at the farm stand and support another local small business, Apple Grove Apiary ! 💛

As always we have Candles, Baked Goods and Fresh Eggs stocked!

We officially put away the frost cloth yesterday 🙌

No more freezing temperatures in the forecast…Thank you, Jesus! ☀️

This weekend we planted almost 3,000 plants in ONE row: 🌸 220 larkspur 🌸 1,380 snapdragons 🌸 1,350 lisianthus.

These are all cold hardy meaning they can handle a frost. However, since they were freshly transplanted, I didn’t want to shock them too much.....So, we tucked them in Sunday night when we had a chance of frost.

Now it’s on to planting more in the field, making progress every single day 🌱✨ Planting season is officially here!

Wow, we SOLD OUT of tulips! 🌷

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to the farm stand, picked up flowers at Bizzyy Bean - Osceola ☕, and ordered Mother’s Day bouquets 💐. We are so incredibly grateful for your support and honestly blown away that you sold us out!

Because of this, we won’t have fresh flowers stocked at the farm stand for the next couple of weeks while we wait for the next blooms.

The farm stand is still fully stocked with
🍅 Vegetable plants
🌸 Flower seeds
🕯️Candles
🍪 Baked goods
🥚 Fresh eggs

We’ll post an update as soon as flowers are back!

Also, this is the LAST week to order vegetable plants. Orders close Friday ⏰
