How beautiful is Impett's native garden at sunset? If it's clear and dry tomorrow morning, we'll be at the garden for our Sunday Green Up from 9-11AM. There is a high likelihood of rain in the AM, so if you're planning to be there, please RSVP so you can be alerted in case of cancellation. RSVP link in bio.

Available Now! I'm impressed with the length of bloom of this native perennial. Foxglove Beardtongue, Penstemon digitalis, blooms in May and June. A welcome arrival after the great spring surge. It supports pollinators that may otherwise lack resources at this interval.

What happens to the market value of your home when you rewild with native plants. This NYT article reveals that buyers may pay more!

For homeowners who have ‘rewilded’ their gardens into mini nature preserves, a moment of truth arrives when they prepare to sell.

Webbedfoot Designs native plant nursery will be OPEN this Saturday 6/13 from 10 - 3. Otherwise by appointment. I'm here a lot but haven't yet grown roots. I'm not even sure I should call it a nursery since many of the plants are so robust and have even reached sexual maturity (flowers).

Available Now! This delicate perennial is aptly named Blue-eyed Grass except for the fact that it is not a grass. It hails from the iris family and similarly produces fan-like sprays of leaves tipped with flowers. An excellent front of border plant that can be used as a ground cover for naturalizing. It's just a foot or so tall in full sun to part shade. Easily divided every 2 - 3 years to expand your planting.

Available NOW! Flowering Raspberry, Rubus odoratus is producing its first flowers of the season this week. I have a nice selection in gallon pots. This shrub does not have thorns and does not produce edible (human) fruit. An Ohio native, it grows 3 - 6 feet tall in full sun to part shade but does best with partial sun on edges. It tends to spread by root suckers so give it plenty of room or regularly trim back the shoots. The fragrant 2" rose-like flowers are the real hit. I'll be around Monday morning from 10 - 1 for sure. Otherwise, call ahead.

Available now! Foxglove Beardtongue in bloom. The nursery will be open Wednesday from 4pm to 7 pm or by appointment. A great addition to any pollinator garden. Grows in sunny areas and tolerates poor soil. It attracts butterflies, hummingbirds, bees and other pollinators. Flowers can be white to pink to purple.

Available Now! Blooming Sundrops in my native plant nursery right now! Easily grown in average, medium moisture, well-drained soils in full sun. Prefers heat and dryish soils. Tolerates poor soils, light shade and some drought. It thrives in my heavy clay soil. I plan to be 'open' Wednesdays 4 - 7 but call ahead anytime. My backyard nursery has dozens of native species and hundreds of plants.
