We traveled back out to LaGrange, Georgia this weekend to finish up a job. There was an old basement on the property, about 10 feet deep, that had gotten overgrown with trees and brush.

We cleared it out and reshaped the hillside to fill the basement back in. Once the grass grows back, there won’t be any sign it was ever there!

A few weeks ago we completed a full property transformation for a client in Point A. Our crew removed large pines from around the home to open up the views, thinned the trees and cleared underbrush across the surrounding 4 acres, and finished it off with a new limerock driveway.

The result is a completely different look for the property and an overall boost to the property value.

Here’s a cool one from last week and not something we get to do every day! (Long post)

This customer called us out to look at an erosion problem on his creek crossing (the “bridge,” as we call it). The headwall was leaking and slowly undermining the dirt between the culvert pipes, and a lot of sediment had built up in the creek bed, causing the water to eddy and erode the bridge even further.

To fix it, we excavated all the old fill material out from against the headwall and backfilled with rip rap and #57 stone. Once compacted, that setup basically acts as a giant French drain. We can’t stop water from reaching the old headwall entirely, so instead we let it drain through cleanly instead of eroding everything around it. We also dredged out the sediment in the creek so water flows evenly through all 3 culvert pipes again.
