EXTERIOR RESTORATION & CUSTOM PAINTING
E. L. MARSHALL CONSTRUCTION

Quality Craftsmanship. Professional Finishes. Attention to Detail.

We recently completed another exterior restoration and painting project, combining detailed surface preparation, necessary repairs, and professional finishing techniques to restore and enhance this home's exterior features.

Our team focused on revitalizing the home's existing white beadboard, repairing deteriorated soffit sections, and delivering a clean, uniform finish across the soffits, fascia, and covered porch ceiling.

🔨 PROJECT SCOPE & HIGHLIGHTS

✅ Soffit Repair & Restoration – Repaired damaged sections of soffit to restore the roofline's appearance and prepare the affected areas for finishing.

✅ Extensive Surface Preparation – Scraped and removed loose, peeling, and failing paint to establish a sound foundation for the new finish.

✅ Custom Beadboard Painting – Professionally refinished the exterior beadboard with a fresh white coating, enhancing the home's architectural details.

✅ Soffit & Fascia Refinishing – Applied a clean, consistent white finish to the soffits and fascia, creating a cohesive appearance along the roofline.

✅ Porch Ceiling Refinishing – Professionally painted the covered porch ceiling in white, brightening the space and complementing the home's existing exterior.

🎯 BUILT ON QUALITY. FINISHED WITH PRECISION.

At E. L. Marshall Construction, we believe exceptional results begin with proper preparation. From addressing deteriorated materials to carefully preparing and refinishing exterior surfaces, every phase of our work reflects our commitment to quality craftsmanship.

The completed project highlights the difference that professional repairs, thorough preparation, and attention to architectural detail can make in restoring a home's appearance.

Here's the thing...

We're not advertising these projects because we're tired of regular construction. We LOVE what we do!

We're simply looking to connect with people who have creative ideas and want a contractor who's excited to explore them.

We want to collaborate, experiment with new designs, tackle interesting challenges, and have some FUN bringing unusual ideas to life!

You don't have to have a complete plan. Sometimes the best projects start with someone saying...

"Hey, this might sound crazy, but what if we..." 😂

There’s something extra special about getting called back by a repeat customer.

Earlier this year, this homeowner trusted us to install a loft with a custom lift inside his shop. So when he decided it was finally time to address his deck, he brought us back out to take care of that project too.

He had rebuilt and repaired this deck multiple times over the years and was ready for something different — a deck built with longevity, durability, and as little maintenance as reasonably possible in mind.

We tore the old deck back and rebuilt it with a completely different approach:

🔨 Treated framing
💧 Butyl joist tape to help protect the framing from moisture
🪵 Fiberon composite decking
🔩 Hidden fastener system for a clean, seamless finish
🖤 Trex composite railing and posts
🏡 New stairs and finish work
🎨 Skirting matched to the home’s existing siding so the finished deck looks like it belongs there

The pictures really tell the story on this one — from the condition of the old deck, through the tear-out and rebuild, all the way to the finished product.

The goal wasn’t simply to give him another new deck. It was to give him a beautiful outdoor space he can spend his time enjoying instead of rebuilding.

We’re extremely happy with how this one came together, and we’re grateful he trusted E. L. Marshall Construction with another project.

If your deck is reaching the point where you’re tired of repairing, staining, replacing boards, or starting over every few years, we’d be happy to talk with you about options for building something designed to last.
