This job originally included removing all of the old trees, but after taking a closer look, we made a few calls and had the utility company come out and handle the tree removal. By doing that, we were able to save our client thousands of dollars while still getting the property exactly where it needed to be.

After the trees were removed, we came in and scalped and graded the dirt, removed the unwanted w**d trees and overgrowth, and properly prepped the area for planting.

From there, we planted 20 Green Giant Arborvitaes, added ornamental grasses, and even planted some mums for the wife.

We also added river rock along the back of the house where there was previously nothing but grass, giving that area a finished look and tying the landscaping together.

To finish everything off, we installed black mulch to really make the landscaping pop while also helping retain moisture around the Green Giants and supporting healthy root development.

We typically use Green Giants as a privacy screen, but for this project, we had a different goal. We wanted to help block the view of all the overgrowth along the railroad tracks while creating a much cleaner, more enjoyable view from the property.

Another project where we were able to save the customer money, improve the property, and create something they can enjoy for years to come.

Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone who has been affected by the flooding.

As for our mowing schedule, we’ll be back to our normal schedule starting tomorrow! With all of the rain, we’re definitely playing catch-up, so please be patient with us as we work our way through everyone.

Wishing Eric Rosas the best as he heads into his senior year! Eric has been with us the past two summers and leads our sidewalk snow crews in the winter, all while balancing another job. His hard work and dedication have meant a lot to our team.

After graduation, Eric plans to join the U.S. Air Force, and we couldn’t be more proud. Have an awesome senior year—we’re all rooting for you!
