We are deeply saddened to share the passing of Jane Ellen Miller, who served West Electric with dedication and warmth until her retirement in 1996.
Jane was part of West Electric nearly her entire life. After her father, Harry West, founded the company, she became a steady presence in the office and a trusted support to the people who helped guide its growth. During the years when her husband, Ed Miller, carried the company forward following Harry West’s retirement, Jane was a quiet but essential partner, offering stability, encouragement, and the kind of behind‑the‑scenes strength that allowed him to lead with confidence.
After Ed’s passing in 1976, Jane continued to support the next generation as Brian and later Ron stepped into leadership roles. Her belief in the company’s mission, and in her family’s commitment to it, never wavered. Many at West Electric remember her as someone who embodied loyalty, grace, and a genuine care for the people around her.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to the Miller family during this difficult time. Jane will always be remembered as an important part of West Electric’s history and as someone whose quiet strength helped carry the company through decades of transition and growth.
