To all of our Lindstrom and Chisago City friends and customers, storm chasers are already out knocking doors.
Remember:
- The cities of Lindstrom and Chisago require door knockers to obtain a solicitors permit. If a door knocker doesn’t have one, call your local non-emergency number and report them. If they’re a good company then they’ll follow the rules.
- Never sign anything that a door knocker puts in front of you. Anything you sign binds you to that contractor even if you change your mind.
- Contact us for a yard sign if you want the door knockers to stop.
- Check your policy to see what your deductible is and if you have a RCV policy. You could be in a big pickle if you file a claim to then find out you have a $10k deductible or an ACV policy.
- Roofing companies will be coming from all over the state trying to win your business. It’s always best to use a local contractor, one who will be around after the dust settles.
- Contact us if you feel you have damage. We’ve already received numerous calls and texts from people who want us to check their property for damage. Our inspections are free.
- Storm chasers are trained to be super friendly. But things change once they have your signature. Be careful to look past the charm and check out how long they’ve been in business, do they have a local office, do they have a legit website which displays their contractors license number.
Prepare yourself for the zoo of contractors who will be flooding your neighborhood!
