One of the best compliments we can receive is when a homeowner tells us they chose Limitless because we took the time to listen, understood what they wanted, and offered solutions that made sense for their home. And not because we were trying to sell them what "we" wanted. Even better is hearing that they felt confident choosing us despite our proposal being higher than the other two or three bids they received.
These homeowners in Burnsville originally contacted us to replace a couple of exterior doors. Once the project was complete, they were so happy with the results that they called us back to replace the three windows in their porch as well.
The door replacement turned out to be anything but routine. After removing the old door, we found the porch floor trusses beneath it had rotted away. A previous owner had attempted a repair, but unfortunately it didn't solve the problem. To do it the right way, we installed a new footing, rebuilt the damaged floor trusses, replaced the subfloor, and then installed the new door. It was definitely more work than expected, but it's the kind of issue that needs to be fixed properly so the homeowner doesn't have to worry about it again.
All of the new doors and windows were manufactured by Marvin, but each product line was chosen based on the homeowners' needs.
The porch windows are from Marvin's Essential collection, featuring fiberglass on both the interior and exterior for outstanding durability and low maintenance. The two entry doors are from the Ultimate collection, with a beautiful wood interior and an aluminum-clad exterior. The patio door is from the Elevate collection, which combines a fiberglass exterior with a warm wood interior, giving the homeowners the best of both worlds.
We're thrilled with how this project turned out, and more importantly, so are the homeowners.
There's a good lesson in every project like this: choosing a contractor should never come down to price alone. Experience, expertise, quality craftsmanship, and a company that's willing to do the job right, even when unexpected issues arise, are just as important. The lowest bid might save money upfront, but the right contractor can save you far more in the long run.
