Does your DE filter not seem to be filtering like it used to, it might be time to replace the grids.

Over time, high filter pressure, chemical wear, and sharp debris cause the grid fabric to tear or the internal frames to crack. When this happens, fine DE powder escapes right back into your pool instead of filtering out dirt. If your filter pressure spikes immediately after a cleaning, or if hard water minerals have permanently clogged the fabric, a fresh set of grids will instantly restore your water clarity and flow.
