Concept, Design, and Construction all completed by Robbins Construction.

“ I don’t like walking down my stairs, outside, then across the deck to use my hot tub. I wish it was right outside my master bedroom”

Okay!

This project was a challenge. But we designed a solution using a steel support structure and I-joist framing to create a patio-of-sorts just outside the master bedroom. The ‘patio’ is accessed via a new doorway that we created from the bedroom to the hot-tub area. The resulting space below is a 3-season room, which is fully enclosed with sliding glass windows and a waterproof ‘roofing’ system.

Starting with old, ugly, beat up boards with rotted ends we re-claimed these beautiful actual 2"x4" Redwood boards! We surface planed, sanded and build these craftsman style standing-height working desks! The tops are 3/4" marine grade, multi-ply plywood. Baltic Birch in the foreground and Russian birch in the background. Our finish of choice for these desks is Danish Oil which is a wearing finish that brings out he beauty of the wood without the harsh glare of polyurethane. (Also poly cracks and peels, gross).
