🔊 NEVER IGNORE STRANGE NOISES FROM YOUR GARAGE DOOR!
If your garage door suddenly starts grinding, popping, squealing, or banging, don’t just ignore it and hope it goes away! Those noises are often warning signs that something isn’t working the way it should.
🔧 Here’s what those noises could mean:
* Grinding or squealing: Worn rollers, lack of lubrication, or metal parts rubbing together.
* Popping or banging: Possible spring issues, loose hardware, or a door binding in the tracks.
* Loud slamming or a door that struggles to move: The door may be out of balance or have a problem with its spring system.
⚠️ WHY YOU SHOULDN’T IGNORE IT:
Continuing to operate a garage door with a developing problem can cause additional damage to the opener, tracks, rollers, and door panels. What could have been a minor repair may turn into a much more expensive problem.
✅ WHAT YOU SHOULD DO INSTEAD:
Stop operating the door if it’s making unusual noises, moving unevenly, or struggling to open. Have it inspected by a professional. Never attempt to adjust or repair garage door springs or cables yourself, they’re under extreme tension and can cause serious injuries.
📣 Hear something that doesn’t sound right? Don’t wait until your door quits working!
