How’s this for a before and after? 🤌

While this Springfield customer had at one point a nice garden and dry-stacked flagstone edging, time had taken its toll and things were beginning to degrade rapidly. 🪨

Check out the incredible turf progression from our signature 10-step lawn care program! This client enrolled with Capital Landscape for regular fertilization & w**d control beginning in August of 2025. 📅

The first picture is from August, at the time of signup. Through regular w**d control and the targeting of tough late summer w**ds such as crabgrass, nutsedge, and goosegrass, we were able to get the turf prepped and ready for core aeration & overseeding. With that aeration & seeding, we also applied a healthy dosage of starter fertilizer — just to help things take root. The results can be seen in the second picture, from November.

Finally, we can see the lawn’s current state today, April 2026, in the third and final picture. While we still have work to do, we’ve successfully banished the crabgrass, nutsedge, and the majority of early spring broadleafs. As we continue to mitigate w**d germination via pre-emergents and regular post-emergent spot-treatments, we can build upon and strengthen this client’s budding fescue turf. 🌱
