No filter or color adjustment needed for this one. What’s the theme here? Color, hot color and even hotter color. Everywhere you look on this stunning property there is color as far as the eye can see and I’m here for it! Can’t wait for our next visit in a few weeks to see how things are growing in!

This impressive ocean front stunner is ready for summer. Our client requests lots of pinks and purples. These intensely pink bougainvilla are bringing all the summertime deels. Big pots call for big centerpieces! I can’t get enough of those giant Sago palms in the pool pots.

City Dock got its summer make over today just in time for the spring boat show that started moving in just as we were moving out. A pre dawn start time has me nearly nodding off while I share these photos. We have to get in and get out before the school buses and delivery trucks make it impossible to work on busy City Dock. We usually do these planters in Blue, yellow and white as a nod to our neighbors at USNA but decided that this year, we would honor our nation’s 250th birthday with our summer color choices! Now all we need is a little heat (and for the City Dock folks to remember to water!) so these babies can start showing off their red white and blue! Swipe left for the dramatic before.

Now that the weather has decided to cooperate, we are in full swing. Irrigation systems are up and running, freeze warnings are hopefully a thing of the past?! Each day will be chock full of spring rotations. The creations get more beautiful, more creative, and more joyful with each passing day.

Let’s hope the cold temps are behind us. Our greenhouses are bursting with fresh color and we can’t wait to really get rolling next week! Am I jinxing us if I say I think spring is FINALLY here to stay?!

In the waning light of early evening, I stopped in to check on these early spring planters on my way home. The cool weather loving plant choices are positively thriving in our crazy up and down temperatures of the past two weeks. Stay tuned for more beautiful designs in the coming days.! One of my favorite places to work is at our friends at office in downtown Annapolis. The parking is always a challenge, playing Frogger with the cars on Cathedral St is an adventure but getting to decorate the office of some of our favorite landscape architects and friends is worth it! These are growing in beautifully! We planted these before last week’s cold snap so I was incredibly relieved that they not only held up but are thriving!
