We are looking for a deadline-driven construction superintendent to oversee our construction project and to act as the link between various project parties. The construction superintendent will lead and manage the on-site construction team and oversee all work on site. The construction superintendent will be responsible for orderliness on-site and ensure compliance with safety regulations. You will ensure quality standards are met, and all equipment and materials are always available on-site. You will liaise with inspection authorities regarding approvals.

Construction Superintendent Responsibilities:

Leading and managing the on-site construction team.

Construction Superintendent Requirements:

7+ years’ experience with a Commercial General Contractor as a superintendent.
Proficient with MS Office Word and Excel.
Proficient with scheduling.
Proficient Procore application.
Proficient in Submittal Process
Proficient in organizing and ordering all project materials
Proficient in setting up all needed monthly equipment
Proficient with taking and uploading digital photographs.
Ability to lift 40 pounds and to operate heavy equipment.
Ability to interpret and build according to drawings, specifications, and other documents.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management preferred

The commercial construction estimator/project manager will be tasked with directing and coordinating the construction team and all subcontractors, ensuring tools, equipment, and material are available, preparing reports, estimating, negotiating contracts, and analyzing risks. You should be able to work well within a team and liaise with external vendors.

To be successful as a commercial construction project manager, you should have in-depth knowledge of construction management and be familiar with health and safety regulations. A top candidate should have an analytical mind, superb organizational skills, and good negotiation strategies.

Commercial Construction Project Manager Responsibilities:

Commercial Construction Project Manager Requirements:

7+ years of general construction estimating
7+ years of general construction project management
Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or similar.
Relevant certification may be required.
Advanced understanding of construction processes, principles, materials, and tools.
Excellent leadership abilities.
Proficient in Procore application
Excellent in job costing and relevant areas of budgeting

SCK Contractors LLC is a Commercial General Contractor operating for over 14 years in the DC, MD and VA area. We handle medium to large scale contracts up to $5 million.

The primary role will be coordinating all site construction activities and supervising all field personnel as required to successfully complete projects on schedule and within budget. The candidate for this position MUST excel at meeting with contractors/subs and coordinating the buyout schedule.

Core Responsibilities:

*Responsible for the overall jobsite operations, including supervising the work activities of the subcontractors and vendors.

*Responsible for the field manpower organization to ensure the job site organization is composed of qualified and knowledgeable personnel, including those of the subcontractors and ensures effective personnel utilization.

*Establishes material and equipment requirements.

*Controls jobsite expenditures for labor, equipment, material and ensures field operations are within budget.

*Conducts detailed inspections after each trade has completed its tasks and before any work is authorized for payment

*Overseeing work among assigned trades.

*Manages the overall site safety program as required and ensures subcontractor compliance with company standards and all applicable safety codes and regulations.
