We integrate new technology and workforce training into our work processes to provide improved quality and value for our customers. Our Philosophy in action To meet customer demand for large floor areas with increased flatness and levelness requirements, we have added laser screed technology to our processes. This enabled us to improve the quality of the concrete finish in accordance with architec
tural specifications. For improved durability and reduced completion time, we employ material pumping and large area screeding techniques on large commercial/industrial concrete projects. Our experienced craftsmen take pride in their work and are able to accomplish these tasks routinely. These craftsmen and the commercial work environment are the teachers and training grounds for recruits. We support a program of on the job training and apprenticeship as the best way to maintain a capable workforce. Clemmer Concrete is able to maintain the quality desired by the customer in placing and finishing on projects of many sizes and types. With our experienced workforce, quality tools, and machines, we have the speed, ability, and over 60 years combined experience to handle most concrete projects. The owners of Clemmer Concrete always say thanks to the men who have worked hard and are true craftsmen of the trade. All of this has made Clemmer Concrete Contractors what it is today.
~~~~How Clemmer Brothers began~~~~
Austin, Texas, the year is 1938, shortly after the great depression. During this era, the United States was recovering from the depression and heading toward World War II. It was a time of growth and prosperity. Twin brothers, Donald and Garnald Clemmer, determined to be successful, started a business, Clemmer Brothers Concrete. Their hard work and skills paid off. They were successful and are able to look back and see that they were two of the best in the trade. From Texas to the Carolinas, and from Alabama to Rhode Island they traveled for 40 years finishing concrete. For many of those years cement trucks and machines for finishing were not available or were not easily obtained. In the late 60s and early 70s, Terry and Richard Clemmer, served apprenticeships under the supervision of these two great men. After years of training, hard work, and long hours on projects such as hospitals, shopping malls, plants, warehouses, schools, and other commercial buildings, they founded their own business. In 1978, Terry and Richard Clemmer founded Clemmer Concrete.
