In the early years, Jerry and Trudy worked out of their basement, doing estimating and payroll at night, while Jerry, Randy and a handful of loyal employees would work in the field during the day. Over the next few years, the company continued to have consistent growth by building valuable relationships with clients and vendors, as well as gaining talented employees and knowledge. In 2005, Jerry a
nd Trudy moved to East Mesa to have more room to run an office, but the company quickly outgrew the home office and construction began on a new office, where we are presently located. In 2008, Jerry was diagnosed with cancer. While Jerry battled cancer, Randy and other employees stepped up to take over. While receiving valuable guidance from Jerry the team was able to learn and grow during that 4 year battle. In 2012 Jerry lost this battle but was able to prepare Blount Contracting as a whole to carry on the legacy he started. During all of this and a rough economy, Blount Contracting continues to grow, having year over year growth in revenue and building valuable relationships. Furthermore, Blount Contracting has strategically bought equipment that has allowed it to maintain its competitive edge and safe working environment. We are honoring Jerry by continuing his vision to strengthen and take care of the families of all those we work with and our community. We are working together to achieve these goals and make Blount Contracting the premier civil contractor in Arizona.
