SERVICES LAWN CARE AND MAINTENANCE: Provided on a weekly basis taking into consideration environmental factors such as too much or too little precipitation. MULCHING: Performed in the Spring, the use of mulch helps alleviate drying of soils and suppresses w**d growth. Applied at the proper depth mulch is cosmetically appealing, done incorrectly, it can harm your plants. Performed in the Fall, mulching will insulate root systems prior to harsh winter weather minimizing frost heaving as well as beautifying your landscape planting beds over the winter. CONSULTATION SERVICES: For the “do-it yourselfer” or an “on-the-fence” consumer. GroundFX can, for a fee, provide professional consultation. In the event you choose to provide GroundFX the opportunity to complete the project discussed during said consultation, consultation fees will be credited to the final invoice. LANDSCAPE RENOVATION: When landscapes are left to their own devices for too long or improperly maintained, things can easily get out of hand. With the proper technique and patience, most landscape issues can be remedied. Our services along with continued proper care, will allow your plantings to showcase their true beauty. We provide services for entire landscapes or on a plant-by-plant basis. AERATION/OVERSEEDING (Turf Renovation): Performed in the Fall to give juvenile seedlings a chance to mature before being exposed to the Summer heat. This service can also be performed in Spring, although less than optimal results can be expected if there is a dry, hot summer. Northern climates (Upstate New York) tend to fare better than more Southern climates (Philadelphia) with Spring aeration/overseeding. Aeration by itself will greatly reduce compaction and allow essential nutrients to enter the root zone thus promoting a healthier turf. By taking advantage of the opening of the soil we are able to add turf seed to promote density to the turf grass stand, which in turn, starves out w**ds. GroundFX always uses the highest quality seed. PLANTING: Although we are not a large-scale landscape installer, we can accommodate small-scale landscape installations. PRUNING: All landscape plantings are pruned according to proper horticultural techniques for each specimen. Our extensive knowledge of horticultural and professional pruning techniques result in larger flowers on roses and healthier plants in general. SPRING/FALL CLEANUPS: Removal of all leaves, branches and other debris that have accumulated around your property, turf and landscape beds including cutting down of spent perennials and ornamental grasses.
