It’s been a little while since our last update on the Carriage Barn at Salt Springs State Park, but we’re excited to share that things are moving along!

The frame is now insulated, the metal roof is on, and siding installation is underway. It’s exciting to see this historic structure really starting to take shape again!

Salt Springs Carriage Barn Update:
The dismantling of the frame has been completed, and we are currently undertaking repairs of the rotten/damaged timbers within our shop. (We are glad to be indoors 🥶)

Unfortunately, due to the onset of winter, we have had to pospone the foundation work and will resume when the weather warms up.

Despite the unfavorable weather, we have completed the restoration of the frame in Cochecton, NY. Along with the new foundation and poured floor, we replaced the rotten floorboards in the center bay, built and installed new doors, and replaced the damaged siding. This barn is now ready to stand for another 100 years!

Thank you again to Crest Construction, LLC. for the concrete and grading work!
