We have had a great summer this year helping our tri state community with their roofs, drive ways, parking lots, and many repairs here and there throughout this harsh seasons. With the hot weather and peak of the summer is hitting us now and the weather man says it won’t go away soon enough and this storm season was one of the worse ones for hail that we have seen in 10 years In the Chattanooga area for Hail. Wind is another story!!! Speaking of stories we would like to hear some of your storm stories. ⛈ 🌪 🌀 🧊
Chattanooga was very lucky as well in the metro areas to not have any horrible ones touch down here. All three states had Tornados 🌪 touch down and those stories we hear definitely hit home to all of us in Chattanooga but thank The lord we are grateful they didn’t hit our home of Chattanooga.
We have had some touch down in our heavy populated areas like:
-Ringgold GA(Catoosa County) in 2013
-Ooltewah TN(Hamilton County) caught a good bit of that and we’re hit Apison TN,East Brainerd TN, and Cleveland TN just to name a few in not just 2013 but Also 2014 and 2019.
-Rainsville AL(DeKalb County) has been hit hard i m know 1 or 2 time in the last 6 years. North Alabama has been hit at least 2 or maybe even 3 times in the last 15 years. This is north Alabama not south they have their own issue with Tropical storms and Hurricanes every single year!
We know we didn’t name every city or area that had been hit. If anyone would like to share their location on when they had hail come through or horrible winds we would like to hear your story.
“I was in Ringgold Ga headed to the house from work in East ridge and everything looked fine where I was but once i pulled up passing the ingles i could see the funnel clouds heading north over ooltewah-ringgold road. As i looked down from the dark sky i saw nothing but debri everywhere! Cars flipped over with people inside them! People were yelling and screaming and running around right off of I-75 down to where Aut Effies was at. Red Roof Inn was completely gone, Taco Bell smashed with it own sign pole, all business wrecked like Chevy dealership and all their vehicles ruined, looters robbing every store with electricity down and no phone service at all. They have never replaced some things…. I went through all that and popped all four tires on my truck just so i could make it to my mother and brother. Worried was an understatement. I know It took the life of at least one young boy/man they called Tex and it’s horrible tragedy he was young i beleive he was trying to protect his little sister but im not 100% and not my story to tell. RIP Tex. The stregth of the wind isn’t a joke it will toss you clear Neyland Stadium prob over it. Theyre Scary! Now, i did in fact make it home but towers were down and i couldnt check on other loved ones. So next morning i was able to get out and use my brothers truck to go see people help out with a chainsaw i brought with.”
