Attention:
Many plants, including pachysandra, experienced winter injury symptoms in 2025, leading to issues like winter injury and potential fungal diseases like Volutella blight. Broadleaf evergreens like pachysandra are particularly susceptible to damage and subsequent disease when stressed by winter conditions.

In Short, Plants like pachysandra can suffer from winter injury, where the plant's tissues are damaged by cold temperatures, resulting in leaf browning, wilting, and even death.

Cold and no snow = freezer burn. We have read about it occurring all over the Great Lakes area from this winter
