We love it when orchid enthusiasts send us photos of their Better-Gro orchids.
This spectacular yellow beauty was sent to us Lorrie Worden. She shared that she had been growing it for 3-4 years. She grows it in lava rock and it sits in a bit of water year round. Not only is it beautiful, it is also HIGHLY fragrant.

Thanks for sharing Lorrie!

🌸 Pretty in Pink! Meet the Pink Quill Bromeliad! 🌿

Think those gorgeous pink feathers are flowers? Think again! 👀

Meet the Pink Quill Bromeliad (Wallisia cyanea), a tropical beauty with a fascinating secret!

💗 Those bright pink plumes aren’t actually flowers! They’re colorful structures called bracts that can remain vibrant for weeks or even months.

💜 The real flowers are purple! Small, delicate violet blooms can emerge from between the pink bracts, adding an extra pop of color.

🌿 It’s part of the air plant family! This bromeliad belongs to the Tillandsia group and grows naturally as an epiphyte, often attaching itself to trees rather than growing in the ground.

☀️ Bright, indirect light is its happy place! Keep it away from harsh direct sunlight and provide good air circulation.

🌱 One bloom, then a new generation! Like many bromeliads, each mature rosette blooms just once before gradually producing baby plants called “pups” that continue the growing cycle.

With its tropical charm and long-lasting color, the Pink Quill is proof that Mother Nature knows how to make a statement! 💕
