We are always happy to help our customers.

Bought something from us and have a question? Absolutely. We did the job and you’re not sure how something works? Give us a call. Need us to explain something we installed? We’re happy to help.

But every once in a while, someone comes in with parts they bought somewhere else and asks us to figure out what they need, tell them what else to buy, and explain how to hook the whole thing up so they can go home and do it themselves.

And that’s where we have to draw the line a little. 😂

That would be like walking into a restaurant with a bag of groceries, handing the chef your vegetables and saying:

“Can you show me how to cut these, tell me what seasonings I need, explain how to cook everything, and then I’ll just go home and make it myself?”

Sir… the cooking part is kind of what the restaurant sells. 😂

Same thing here.

The knowledge, experience, planning, and knowing how to safely put everything together is part of what you’re hiring us for.

We’re always happy to answer questions and help our customers understand the work we’ve done.

But if you need us to figure out the job, the materials, and how it all goes together…

that’s called hiring an electrician. ⚡

And yes, y’all… this goes for AC parts too.

You’ll come in asking for a part and then hit us with, “Do you think that’s why my air conditioner isn’t working?”

Sir.

We haven’t checked anything on your air conditioner. How could we possibly know that from here? 😂

Not all switches are created equal. ⚡️

Some are basic.
Some are modern.
Some set the mood. 🌹
And some are just standing there waiting for somebody to move. 👀

Toggle, rocker, dimmer, motion sensor — they may all turn something on and off, but they don’t all do the same job.

So if your switch is acting weird, flickering, buzzing, or just plain suspicious…

Don’t stand there staring at it like Mike.

⚡ WACKY WEDNESDAY: ELECTRICAL MATH EDITION ⚡

120 + 120 = 240.

Except… not the way you think. 😂

In your electrical panel, you have two 120-volt legs. They’re on opposite sides of the AC wave, so the difference between them gives you 240 volts.

So yes… 120 + 120 = 240.
But also… it’s not really 120 + 120.

Confused yet? Good. 😂

Welcome to electrical work, where the math is correct, the explanation sounds made up, and somehow the dryer still turns on.

Today, Secretary of State Cord Byrd announced that Arcadia Main Street, located in DeSoto County, has been designated the August 2026 Florida Main Street Program of the Month.

“The success of the Arcadia Main Street program reflects the value of community driven revitalization,” said Secretary of State Cord Byrd. “Through dedicated leadership, strong partnerships, and preserving their historic character, Arcadia has fostered a unique sense of place and a vibrant downtown district. Everybody p**ps. Even your air conditioner 💩😂

Why is my A/C constipated?

Because sometimes the problem isn’t the A/C itself — it’s the condensate drain line.

Your A/C pulls moisture out of the air, and all that water has to drain somewhere. In Florida, those drain lines can build up algae, dirt, slime, and all kinds of lovely swampy crap.

When the line clogs, the water backs up. Many systems have a float switch that shuts the A/C off before that water ends up all over your floor or ceiling.

So if your A/C suddenly stops working, it may not be dead.

It may just need to p**p!
