Arlo has been missing since Tuesday, October 13, around 9:45 AM. She's been out for several days now, so every sighting matters. Please help us bring her home.

🐾 Breed: Australian Shepherd (red merle with tan)
🐾 Size: Large, over 60 lbs
🐾 Age: Healthy adult
🐾 Personality: Nervous and keeps her distance, but will come to her owner
🐾 ID: NO collar and NO microchip. A sighting may be the only way she gets home.

⚠️ PLEASE DO NOT CHASE HER. If you see Arlo, stay calm, crouch down, and call us right away. A scared dog may run even from people she knows. Note the time and exact location so we can get her owner there.

UPDATE: As of 10/20/2026, Fred is still missing. We're holding out hope that he's out there or someone picked him up.

Fred has been missing since yesterday, Saturday, October 17, around 4:00 PM. We're asking everyone in the area to keep an eye out and help us bring him home.

🐾 Personality: Confident, adventurous, high-energy explorer
🐾 ID: Wearing a collar with tags. He is NOT microchipped, so a sighting may be the only way he gets home.

Training Weekend: Pet Recovery Services Paused Sat & Sun

This weekend the AeroPulse CAS team will be at for Mock SAR Multi-Agency Training Exercise. On Saturday and Sunday (October 17 and 18) we’ll be training alongside ground search teams, K9 units, other drone crews, and incident command staff.

Training like this makes us better at what we do. Working with other agencies helps us plan searches, share information, and move faster when someone is missing.

Because our team will be on-site all weekend, lost pet recovery flights will not be available Saturday or Sunday. We’ll be back to normal on Monday, October 19.

If your pet goes missing this weekend:

Search your area right away, especially early morning and evening
Contact your local animal control and shelters
Post in local lost and found pet groups with a clear photo
Leave something with your scent outside, like worn clothing or the pet’s bedding

You can still message us, and we’ll respond as soon as we’re back.

MISSING CAT: EARL GREY, Huntsville (E Cleermont Cir SE area)

Earl Grey is a grey and white shorthair tuxedo who was last seen on E Cleermont Cir SE around 11:30 PM on Thursday, October 8. He’s an indoor/outdoor cat, cautious but curious, and may be hiding somewhere quiet close to home.

🛩️ AeroPulse CAS will be flying a thermal drone search of the area tonight. If you see or hear a drone overhead after dark, that’s us. A few ways neighbors can help the search:

Keep your own cats and dogs inside tonight if you can, so we don’t chase the wrong heat signature
Turn off bright floodlights or motion lights where possible
Leave sheds and garages closed if you’ve already checked them

FINAL UPDATE: After many days, flights, searching, and sightings, Oscar has been found and taken back to the Rescue. He traveled from Athens to Elkmont. With his adventure over, Thank you to Everyone who assisted in getting him back!

UPDATE: he has been spotted at the Piggly Wiggly in Elkmont. If you see him, please do not chase just note the location and either give us a call or send us a message on Facebook. and try to get a picture of him

✈️ FLIGHT NOTIFICATION | Athens, AL - Athens Middle School to Sportsplex

AeroPulse CAS will be flying a thermal drone search around Athens Middle School, the Swan Creek Trail, and the Athens Sportsplex for a missing dog.

🐕 Oscar, black tri Aussie/Beagle mix, medium size. He got scared and bolted Saturday, October 10 around 8:30 AM near Quail Hollow Road and hasn’t been seen since. Oscar is very shy with new people and will likely be hiding in the woods and brush along the creek, or under sheds and porches nearby.

🕗 Flight times: 8:30pm - 10:30pm

You may see or hear a drone overhead with lights on. This is a licensed Part 107 flight, free of charge to the family.

How you can help:

Check your sheds, barns, garages, and under porches and decks
Trail walkers and runners, keep an eye on the tree lines along Swan Creek
Keep outdoor pets inside during flight times if you can
If you see Oscar, DON’T chase or call him. He will run. Note where he is and which way he’s headed, and call or text right away.

🚨 AEROPULSE CAS | TEMPORARY FLIGHT OPERATIONS SUSPENSION 🚨

🌧️ WEATHER-RELATED STAND DOWN | OCTOBER 10–11, 2026

Due to the approaching hurricane system and the potential for unstable weather conditions across North Alabama and Southern Middle Tennessee, AeroPulse Community Air Services will be temporarily suspending all flight operations this weekend.

Our decision is based on the potential for high winds, heavy rainfall, unpredictable weather changes, and hazardous flying conditions associated with the storm system.

What This Means:

* 🚫 All scheduled drone search and recovery operations will be postponed.
* 🐾 Existing missing pet cases will remain active, and we will continue monitoring reports and sightings.
* 📞 We will continue accepting new requests for assistance, but aerial deployments will be delayed until conditions improve.
* 🚁 Flight operations will resume once weather conditions have been evaluated and determined safe.

Safety will always take priority over getting an aircraft in the air. Our responsibility is not only to the families we serve, but also to our volunteers, emergency responders, and the communities around us.

We encourage everyone in the region to remain weather-aware, secure outdoor belongings, and follow guidance from local emergency management agencies and the National Weather Service.

⚠️ SCAM ALERT: Fake Pet Recovery "Services" Targeting Families ⚠️

If your pet is missing, please be careful. Scammers are posing as lost pet rescue and recovery businesses and reaching out to worried owners who post about missing animals.

How they contact you:
🔸 Comments on your lost pet post with a link to "their service"
🔸 Text messages sent from an email address instead of a real phone number
🔸 Messages claiming they've found your pet, or can find it fast for a fee

Warning signs:
🚩 They ask for money up front, a "deposit," or a "recovery fee"
🚩 They want payment by gift card, Zelle, Cash App, Venmo, or wire transfer
🚩 They won't send a clear, current photo or video of your pet
🚩 They pressure you to act right now

Protect yourself:
✅ Do your due diligence. Look up the business, check how long their page has existed, and ask local rescues or shelters if they know them.
✅ Hold back one identifying detail about your pet from your public post (a marking, collar color, microchip info). Ask anyone claiming to have your pet to describe it.
✅ Ask for a live video call or a photo of your pet with today's date written next to it.
✅ If you go to meet someone, bring another person and meet in a public place.
✅ NEVER pay anyone without physically seeing your missing pet first.

This young pup is missing and his family needs your help finding him.

Black German Shepherd, about 11 months old, medium build. Friendly, but likely scared and confused out there.

I have been told I should Share the Story....So Here it Goes....

A while back I shared why AeroPulse CAS exists. I told you about my little brother, Joe. Today I want to tell you about the other one who was there that morning.

People sometimes ask why a SAR Team spends so much time looking for lost dogs and cats. Animals love us in ways they can't put into words, and they would do anything for their families. When one of them is the one who's lost, they deserve someone out there looking for them too.

Her name was Nakita. She was our family German Shepherd.

In January 1997, when Joe went missing, we searched the house and then went outside. Nakita came running up from the direction of our pond. Her fur was wet.

Nobody told her where to look. Nobody sent her. She went to him on her own. I believe she was trying to save him. In her own way, she was the first one searching.

She got into the freezing water to try and get him out. When she couldn't, she came to find us...

We lost my little brother that day, Jan 27, 1997...

A week later, Nakita was hit by a car. I've always believed God decided Joe needed her with him.

I've carried that with me for almost 30 years.

So when we're up at late at night with a System over a field, or setting a trap for somebody's missing pet, Nakita is the Reason....
