UPDATED AND UPGRADED severe storm risk tomorrow March 10th. There is now an Enhanced Level 3 Risk across the Edwards Plateau, Concho Valley, Big Country and western North Texas.
The SPC is highlighting this corridor for several severe storms capable of all hazards. These hazards include:
• Large hail, potentially up to baseball size
• Damaging wind gusts, perhaps up to hurricane-force of 75-80 MPH
• A few tornadoes, with a conditional risk for a strong EF-2 magnitude tornado if we can get sustained supercells
Timing: Afternoon and evening, generally moving from west to east.
While storms appear to be numerous tomorrow, not everyone in the risk will see storms. Storms will vary in magnitude and hazard type, and not all storms will be severe.
