Hey neighbors, Todd Jensen here with Jensen Plumbing.

If you have an upstairs bathroom clog and start seeing water spots or dripping on the ceiling below, don’t wait too long. Water can travel under floors and behind walls before you really see the damage.

Best thing to do: stop using that bathroom, shut off the toilet valve if needed, and avoid chemical drain cleaners.

It could be a clogged line, toilet seal, or tub/shower drain issue — but it’s worth checking quickly.

We’re local, family-owned, and focused on fair pricing, real communication, and quality work. Happy to help if you need us.

A little while back, we got a call from Phil Haynes.

Water heater trouble and a small leak on the line — on a Saturday, of course.

Andrew headed out, got there early, looked things over, and explained exactly what needed to be done. No pressure, no upselling, just a straight answer.

We replaced the water heaters, fixed the leak, cleaned up, and got it done faster than expected.

Phil later left us a kind review saying Andrew was professional, courteous, and made the whole process easy.

That’s what we aim for at Jensen Plumbing:

show up, explain clearly, do the work right, and treat people’s homes with respect.

Big thanks to Phil for trusting us.

This time of year in North Texas, we start seeing the same stuff pop up in a lot of homes. Outside faucets that started dripping after the weather changed. Slow drains that have been getting worse little by little. Toilets that keep running. Water heaters that are not keeping up like they should.

Most of the time, it starts small. That is why people ignore it. Then one day it turns into a bigger mess than it needed to be.

A good spring plumbing check can go a long way:
- Check your outdoor faucets and hose bibs for leaks
- Look under sinks for any moisture or staining
- Pay attention to slow drains in kitchens and bathrooms
- Listen for running toilets
- Make sure your water heater is heating like it should

We always tell folks the same thing: if something has been “kind of” acting up, it is probably worth dealing with now before summer gets here.

At Jensen Plumbing, we are a local family-owned plumbing company serving Denton, Flower Mound, Lewisville, Lantana, Argyle, and nearby North Texas communities. We believe in doing the job right, being straight with people, and fixing problems before they get worse.

If your plumbing has been giving you signs that something is off, now is a good time to get it checked out.

Homeowner tip from Jensen Plumbing:
Pet hair, dirt, and debris from bath time can quietly build up in your drains and lead to slow flow or clogs. Using a drain screen and brushing your dog before washing can help prevent costly plumbing issues down the line.

At Jensen Plumbing, we focus on the small things so you don’t have to — delivering reliable, professional service every time.

🔧 Quick Plumbing Tip for Denton & Flower Mound Homeowners

Something we see all the time on service calls around Denton, Flower Mound, and Lewisville…

People treat their kitchen sink like a trash can.

Grease from cooking, food scraps, sauces — it all goes down the drain. At first everything seems fine.

But grease cools inside the pipe and sticks to the walls. Then food particles stick to that grease. Over time the pipe slowly fills up.

By the time homeowners call for drain cleaning, the line can already be half blocked.

An easy fix?
Let grease cool and throw it in the trash instead of pouring it down the sink.

It sounds simple, but it prevents a lot of clogged drains.
