When a customer calls and asks about a battery backup sump pump system we always give them the same speech. Install a natural gas generator with an automatic transfer switch. This isn’t always possible as they are expensive. This is the system we installed today for a customer with a NG generator. The genesis controller alternates which pump is being used. If a pump fails an alarm sounds and the system defaults to the working pump. The nice part about this system is one can be reactive instead of proactive with changing the pumps. We recommend pumps be changed every 5 years, if there’s only one pump in the pit. We can also install this system with a battery backup.

A customer called us up today after one of our techs left her house. She told me that Brian was clean, friendly, knowledgeable, and very efficient at what he did. She went on to say that “ That young man has restored my faith in the future of America.” I could not be more proud. I thanked the customer for calling and providing her feedback. Many things can be taught to the people one hires. One thing that can never be taught is caring.
