We Hired some guys from another restoration company cause we needed some extra hands on a job site , they were slow with work and wanted to fill up their schedule.
The guys were use to running the show for the other restoration company “not going to mention the company’s name”.
While on the job, they were trying to run the show saying this and that needed to be done .
We told the guys ….that’s not how we do things here. That’s not the proper way to mitigate or remediate.
We do things the right way.
They were confused.
Them : this is the right way.
Me Question: are yall certified?
Them Answer : what do you mean ? We been doing it like this for a long time.
My response: mmhmm okay.
Instead of beating the dudes up on how they were doing things wrong, we told them to please follow orders from the worker we put in charge on site to properly take care of our client . This serves as a learning opportunity so follow his steps and you will learn how to do it right.
The guys were a bit offended that we put a guy that had less time in the business to run the project.
Our tech , with less time, had more training and understanding of the job than the guys had in years.
What sets us apart is that we thrive to build a strong team that you can ask anyone on site on what needs to be done and they will tell you what the next step is.
Each job has a certified tech and a project manager assigned to you. The project manager is also a master tech. (Takes years to get that)
If you’re getting a remediation job done, ask if they are a certified company and if the tech performing your job is knowledgeable on performing your project.
We now might have some new techs that are going to be a big asset to the team. After the day was done they were excited and wanted to do another job with us.
Don’t be afraid to ask for credentials.
We have ours ….
Do you ?
