An afternoon of learning and connection.

Members of the DFS team recently joined CREW DC for Pitch Perfect: Mastering the Art of the Elevator Pitch, an interactive session led by Cecilia Kane of Cresa.

Through hands-on breakout sessions, our team practiced refining how they communicate their message, tailoring their approach to different audiences, and strengthening the skills that help build meaningful relationships.

Our team is always looking for opportunities to learn, grow, and sharpen the skills that help build stronger connections with clients and industry partners. Thank you to CREW DC and Cecilia for a great session!

We’re excited to welcome Jordan Person, Kaitlyn Petersen, and Shiva Miryala to the DFS Construction team!

Jordan joins us as our Bookkeeper and brings plenty of DC pride with him. A Washington, DC native, he’s a fan of all the local sports teams, a regular Pokémon GO player, and an active member of one of DC’s kickball leagues.

Kaitlyn joins us as our Marketing Coordinator. Outside of DFS, she loves traveling, trying new foods, experiencing different cultures, and taking her rescue dog to the park.

Shiva joins us as an Estimator and definitely knows how to keep life interesting! He loves adventure activities like scuba diving and skydiving, and when he’s not seeking his next adrenaline rush, you can find him playing cricket or diving into the world of VR gaming.

We’re thrilled to have all three of you on board and can’t wait to see all you’ll bring to the DFS team!

🚧 Project Update | Newmark DC Headquarters 🚧
We’re making progress on Newmark’s new Washington, D.C. offices at 1050 17th St. NW!

As Newmark prepares to relocate from its longtime home at 1899 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, DFS Construction is bringing its new workplace to life. Designed by Deceder Group, the space is being built to support a dynamic mix of private offices, huddle rooms, conference spaces, collaborative areas, and a reception lounge designed to make a strong first impression.

We’re especially excited to be partnering with Newmark on this project and helping bring their vision for their new D.C. headquarters to reality. We love watching this new chapter for Newmark take shape in the heart of downtown D.C. More to come as construction progresses!

DFS Construction partnered with Corgan to bring Trident GMG's new Washington, D.C. headquarters to life creating a workplace that reflects the firm's reputation for strategic communications and trusted client counsel.

Located just blocks from the White House, the new office balances sophisticated hospitality with the privacy and performance required for confidential client work. From the welcoming reception area and flexible café space to acoustically enhanced conference rooms and glass-front offices, every detail was thoughtfully executed to create an environment that is both inviting and highly functional.

Warm wood finishes, soft architectural curves, abundant natural light, and subtle brand integration create a timeless workplace that supports collaboration while reinforcing Trident's identity. The project also prioritized sustainability by incorporating existing furniture into the refreshed design, maximizing the client's investment without compromising quality or aesthetics.

We're proud to have helped deliver a space that supports Trident GMG's continued growth while providing an exceptional experience for both employees and clients.

✨ Project Spotlight: Gallery Place Fitness Center ✨
When your office sits next door to Capital One Arena and serves as the headquarters for Sports, an ordinary fitness center just won't do.

DFS Construction transformed the Gallery Place Fitness Center into a high-energy amenity space inspired by the teams, athletes, and fans that define the neighborhood. Every detail was designed to reflect the spirit of sports. From custom hockey stick-inspired light fixtures to basketballs suspended from the ceiling, it's a one-of-a-kind experience from the moment you walk in. The space also features state-of-the-art fitness equipment, dedicated strength and functional training areas, and larger-than-life graphics celebrating some of Washington's most iconic athletes.

The result is a fitness center that energizes tenants while embracing the identity of one of DC's most recognizable sports destinations. We're proud to have helped bring this dynamic vision to life.

✨ Project Spotlight: Universities Research Association ✨

A workspace should evolve alongside the people who use it. For the Universities Research Association (URA), that meant transforming their longtime office into a modern environment built for collaboration, flexibility, and connection.

DFS Construction delivered a brand new space featuring a welcoming reception area, flexible conference rooms designed to accommodate monthly member meetings, and a multipurpose pantry that easily transitions into an event space. Thoughtful lighting, improved acoustics, and a streamlined layout create an environment that supports both focused work and team engagement.

Steel, masonry, and MEP systems are coming together at our Social Supply project as the vision continues to take shape. From the new exterior event space structure to the interior mezzanine and infrastructure buildout, the team is making steady progress while preserving the character of this unique industrial space. Now we're starting work on the new elevator and rooftop units.

We’re excited to see each milestone bring the project one step closer to completion. Stay tuned for more updates as construction continues!

They were excited to hear from the impressive panel of former Rising Stars and connect with some of their peers. It was a great introduction to commercial real estate and a firsthand look at how relationships, mentorship, and networking help shape successful careers.

Designed to meet the needs of today’s tenants, the recently completed 1129 20th Street NW Town Hall and Spec Suites project transformed a full floor into a collection of spec suites and a dynamic shared amenity space.

DFS Construction built five turnkey spec suites featuring a mix of private offices, open work areas, conference rooms, and collaborative spaces designed to accommodate a variety of uses. The project also included a centrally located town hall amenity that serves as a gathering space for building occupants and a showcase for prospective tenants. High-end finishes, extensive glazing, and flexible layouts create bright, modern workspaces that balance functionality, comfort, and style.
