Before & After: Bathroom Floor Update!

Sometimes, a home improvement project involves more than what you see on the surface.

For this bathroom, we repaired a section of the subfloor before installing new flooring. Addressing the underlying issue first helps ensure the finished result looks great and has a solid foundation beneath it.

It’s easy to focus on the finished look, but what’s underneath matters just as much as what you see!

Have a home repair or update you've been putting off? Texas State Remodelers is here to help.

From our family to yours, done right.

Some days in HVAC, you just have to trust your hands because your eyes aren’t doing you any good. 😂

Today I was adding dampers to a duct system to help balance out the airflow.

Sounds simple enough, right?

Well, there was barely enough room to get my hand in there, much less actually SEE what I was doing.

Could I see anything? Nope.

Was I doing almost everything by feel? Yep.

Did we get it done? You bet!

Sometimes HVAC work is less about having the perfect working conditions and more about figuring out how to get the job done right with what you’ve got.

Does Your Garage Door Frame Need Some Attention?

If the trim around your garage door is looking worn, damaged, or deteriorating, it may be more than just a cosmetic issue.

Your garage door and its surrounding frame help protect your home from moisture, pests, and unwanted visitors. When the frame or seals are compromised, gaps can allow water and critters to find their way inside.

Taking care of these issues early can help prevent bigger, more costly repairs down the road.

At Texas State Remodelers, we believe a home should look great and do its job protecting the people inside it.

From our Family to yours, done right.

Happy Monday!

We’re kicking off a new project this week to address a sloping subfloor beneath a customer’s toilet.

When the floor beneath your feet starts to shift, it’s important to find out what’s happening and address it properly. Bathrooms should be places where you feel comfortable and secure—not areas of concern.

Our team is getting to work to identify the issue, make the necessary repairs, and help ensure this homeowner can feel safe and confident in their bathroom again.

Quality work means more than what you see on the surface. It’s about making sure what’s underneath is right, too.

From our Family to yours, done right.

Sometimes, the smallest things can have the biggest impact.

A door that doesn’t close properly, a hinge that’s out of alignment, or a small repair you’ve been putting off can make a bigger difference in your day-to-day life than you realize.

It may not be the biggest project—but doing the little things right is part of what makes a house work better.

Quality work isn’t always about the size of the project. It’s about paying attention to the details.

Green can be a bold choice—but when it’s done right, it can completely transform a space. 💚

From soft, earthy greens to deep, dramatic shades, the right green can make a room feel fresh, cozy, or full of personality.

And sometimes, bold is exactly what a space needs.

Would you go this green in your home?

Thinking About Painting a Room?

A few things can make a big difference in the finished result:

• Prep matters. Patch, sand, and clean your walls before painting.
• Test your color. Lighting can change how a color looks throughout the day.
• Choose the right finish. Different rooms need different levels of durability.
• Don’t rush the coats. Let each coat dry properly before adding another.
A great paint job starts before the paint ever hits the wall.

What room are you thinking about refreshing?
