Honest question for early October:

When the shrub is growing into the porch and the walk has disappeared, is it still “I’ll deal with it later,” or is it time to order a yard cleanup?

Glory Landscape starts with Sam on the property. He takes notes on what gets cut, what stays, and what leaves the site. Then the crew opens the yard, your walkways... and hauls the debris off.

That is the process in Arlington, Smokey Point, Stanwood, and the rest of Snohomish County. The wet season does not make this easier.

Which part went first at your place: the beds, the entryway shrubs, or the walk?

That’s not pale grass. That’s moss.
It starts in the shade along the fence and under the trees, then the fall rain does the rest. A lot of Arlington backyards already look like this.
Mowing does not fix it.
If your lawn is showing these patches, look at it now, before winter wet locks them in.
Seeing this at your place? Send this to whoever keeps saying it’s “just the shade.”

A bed like this only looks finished if the line is intentional.

Fresh bark is what people notice first. The work is the curve off the patio, the grass held back from the mulch, and the shrubs sitting in a bed that is actually defined.

That is landscape maintenance. Not a one-time dump of bark.

Glory Landscape weeds, edges, and resets beds so the patio side of the yard stays usable and the lawn does not creep in. As fall gets closer in Arlington, Smokey Point, Stanwood, and the rest of Snohomish County, this is the window to get beds clean before the wet season packs leaves into them.

Sam walks the beds with you before anything is quoted, so the plan matches this yard, not a square-footage guess.

Tell us about the biggest yard transformation you’ve experienced. What part of the change made the biggest difference once the cleanup was done?

Dare to post your pictures here. We’ll go first.

That corner used to do one job: collect weeds, tall grass, and a debris pile against the fence. The tree was buried in it. The corner was hard to look at, let alone use.

Cleanup meant cutting the overgrowth, hauling the pile off, and giving the space under the tree a simple bed again. Bark. A rock border. Fence visible. A section of yard you can actually walk through and enjoy.

Here’s the part we keep noticing on jobs like this: it isn’t always the “wow” that people talk about later. Sometimes it’s just being able to find rest in a section of the yard you hardly knew was there before.

Most late-summer lawns around Smokey Point look fine from the driveway and sloppy from the street.

Visits stretch out. The parking & sidewalk strip gets skipped. Bark sits on the walk. The truck leaves before the concrete is clear.

We don’t call that finished.

The strip gets cut with the rest of the lawn. The bark stays off the sidewalk. The blower hits the concrete before the truck moves.
Same standard in Arlington, Stanwood, and the rest of Snohomish County. Growth can slow down. The curb doesn’t get a pass.

Tag the person at your house who notices the sidewalk first.

That yellow-green tint coming through the grass is moss, one of the most common issues Glory Landscape sees on shaded, established properties throughout Snohomish County.
Left untreated, it spreads. Glory Landscape applies moss treatment twice a year as part of an ongoing plan, keeping it in check so the grass can fill back in.

Seeing the same yellowing in your yard? Now's the time to get ahead of it before the growing season moves further along.

That thick, dark green turf doesn't happen by accident. It takes a consistent mow schedule, a sharp blade, and passes that slightly overlap so nothing gets missed.

Glory Landscape mows weekly through the growing season and adjusts height as temperatures shift from spring into summer. Add regular fertilization, which Sam recommends and applies himself, and you get color and density that holds all season.
New clients start with a free walkthrough so Sam can see the lawn and build a plan around it.
