Another premium Mitsubishi Electric installation completed by New England Heat Pump Co.

This beautiful home had no air conditioning and relied on an aging oil-fired boiler with very limited zoning. The homeowners wanted true year-round comfort without sacrificing performance during harsh New England winters.

Our solution was a 4-zone Mitsubishi Electric SUMO Hyper-Heat system—the newest and most powerful single-condenser system in Mitsubishi’s lineup.

One unique challenge on this project was the home’s layout. With a finished basement and no attic access, this installation required a Mitsubishi Branch Box (distribution box) to serve all four indoor units. Instead of compromising the installation, we designed a clean solution by mounting the branch box inside a weather-tight exterior enclosure, protecting the equipment while keeping it fully serviceable while maintaining a clean, professional appearance.

It’s attention to detail like this that separates a standard installation from a professionally engineered system.

To complete the project, we installed our signature Fortress line-hide system, keeping all exterior piping protected while delivering a clean, finished look. The outdoor unit was mounted on a heavy-duty wall bracket to keep it above snow, ice, and debris, ensuring years of reliable performance.

Sometimes the best installation requires a little more work—but the end result is worth it.

This Plaistow, NH homeowner received three other proposals, and every one of them recommended placing the kitchen indoor unit on the opposite exterior wall, which would have meant exposed refrigerant lines running inside the kitchen.

We couldn’t recommend that.

Instead, we modified the upper portion of the side cabinet. The homeowner only lost one shelf while keeping roughly 75% of the cabinet fully functional. It took more planning and craftsmanship, but it allowed us to create a clean, factory-looking installation with no exposed piping inside the home.

Another Mitsubishi Electric Installation Complete – Arlington, MA

Every home is different, and every homeowner has different goals. That’s why we don’t believe in designing systems around rebates—we design them around what makes the most sense for the customer.

For this Arlington home, the homeowner wanted:
• Air conditioning throughout the home
• Individual room-by-room temperature control
• Supplemental heat in those spaces during the colder months
• To keep their existing primary heating system, which is less expensive to operate during the coldest part of winter

Based on those goals, we recommended a standard Mitsubishi Electric heat pump system—not a Hyper-Heat system.

This system provides 100% heating capacity down to 15°F and will continue operating well below zero. It delivers outstanding comfort during the vast majority of the heating season while allowing the homeowner to use their existing heating system during the coldest weather when it makes the most economic sense.

Another proposal recommended a larger, more expensive system simply because it qualified for rebates. We didn’t believe that was the right solution for this homeowner.
