The Green Acres office will be closed today as we step away from our daily work to honor Riata and stand alongside her family, friends, and our community as we say goodbye to a beautiful young life taken far too soon.

Today, we encourage everyone to wear pink for Riata. Let’s fill our community with pink as we honor this beautiful girl and the life she lived. 💗

Wow! We made a stop in Cozad for application 3 and just had to give this lawn a shoutout. Talk about curb appeal! Shout out to the Browns for keeping their lawn & landscaping looking incredible! Your hard work doesn't go unnoticed.

One of our favorite parts of this yard is the grass blend! This fescue blend is a great, hardy choice for our Nebraska climate - known for its disease tolerance, drought resistance, and ability to handle the tough conditions our weather can bring. This lawn is proof that the right grass, mixed with proper care, can make a big difference!

Hey Green Acres family! Has your yard been looking a little “under the weather”?
We’ve been seeing quite a bit of heat stress across our area, and you’re not alone if your lawn is showing yellow or brown patches!

This season has been feast or famine. We have been seeing heavy rains followed by long, hot, dry stretches (typical Nebraska 😅) Because of that, many roots have not been able to reach as deep as they normally would. If you’ve dealt with lawn fungus in the past, this weather can also cause it to return!

Here are a few tips to help your lawn:
1.) Set your mower deck higher
2.) Keep mower blades sharp
3.) Water deeply in the early morning
4.) Avoid heavy foot traffic on stressed areas

As we head into the weekend, we want to wish everyone a Happy Independence Day! We are celebrating 250 years of one nation under God. While we take the time to gather with family and friends, we’re grateful for the brave men and women, past and present, who have sacrificed to protect the freedoms that we get to enjoy every day!

Congratulations to all of the area kids & coaches that are heading to State! Your hard work, long practices, and dedication are paying off!

A special shoutout to a couple of our very own making the trip to State as well, we couldn’t be more excited to cheer you on! Way to go Braxton & Briley!

As we head into Memorial Day weekend, we also want to take a moment to remember & honor all the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.
