Fourth of July Firework event at JC Park🎆🇺🇸

Street closure 🚧 for the firework clearance required by the Artesia Fire Department beginning Monday (7/1/2024) afternoon through Friday (7/5/2024) morning:

-The One-Way around the football/soccer complex will be closed. If you need access to the Pickleball & Tennis courts, please park at the big dog park.

Access to the Firework Show 7/4/2024:

-DR RW Harper & JC Park Drive
-The third road will be open for additional parking for the firework event.
-4th road will be used for emergency access only.

Update: Despite the tragedy, there is some good news in this evening's update. The fire has progressed very slowly over the course of the day. There was very little new spread into the village, and nearly all of the new growth was on the northwest side of the fire. The new map shows the extent of the burn at 9AM this morning overlaid with the current extent. Our firefighters are doing an incredible job!

🚨TRAFFIC ALERT for TOMORROW'S PARADE: 🚨

The Artesia Police Department will close down W. Main Street from 26th St. to 1st St. around 8:45 am for the 100 Years of Oil and Gas Parade that will start at 9:00 am. What makes this parade different than others is that we will have Main St. shutdown further west to 26th St, since some of the larger vehicles for this parade will be located and leaving the Harvest Fellowship parking lot (labeled #1 on Map). Other parade participants will be located at Bulldog Bowl (labeled #2 on Map).
