Another custom floor completed! 🔥

This floor was done in an entry/shower room and laundry room. Where the coating meets the hardwood transition, we used crack filler to build and slope the floor smoothly up to the transition.

Our system included:
• Moisture-barrier base coat
• Second epoxy coat with a full flake broadcast
• Two protective topcoats for added durability

This floor was one of the most uneven we’ve worked on, with countless chips, cracks, and imperfections. We recommended self-leveling to achieve the flattest possible finish, but the homeowner decided against the additional cost.

No matter the conditions, we put in the extra effort to prep the surface properly and used a double broadcast flake system to help create a more even, durable finish. In the end, the floor turned out great, and the homeowner was happy with the results—and that’s what matters most.

Another project underway!

We’re excited to be working at the Maine Coast Waldorf School in Freeport, Maine.

This project started with the removal of old VCT tile and adhesive, followed by mechanically grinding the concrete to create the proper surface profile. Every floor we install starts with thorough preparation because that’s the foundation of a long-lasting epoxy system.

The prep is complete, and now it’s ready for the next steps toward a durable, seamless floor that will hold up to years of heavy foot traffic.
