Had a great time today at a local high school career fair representing my HVAC business. It means a lot to me to be able to show up for this community, talk with the next generation, and give them a real look at what working in the trades can offer.

I had some solid conversations with a lot of sharp young men and women. Hopefully I was able to open a few eyes to the idea that there’s more than one path to a successful future. College is a great route for some, but the trades are wide open right now and full of opportunity for those willing to learn and work.

If I sparked even one kid to consider trade school or a hands-on career, then it was a day well spent in my book.

Proud to be a small part of this community and excited to see what the future holds for these students.

Pro tip: If you do not have a heat pump that means your outdoor unit does not run in the winter so your compressor sits there all winter and it can seize up. This is a good day to run your air conditioner to keep that compressor lubricated so it does not seize up. I see about two or three units every spring that the compressor is seized up because they did not run the air conditioner for three or four months.
