As frigid temperatures head our way, itâs important to be prepared for plumbing issues that can arise during severe cold. A little preparation now can help you avoid costly repairs later. Here are a few simple steps to help protect your home:
đ§ Know Your Main Water Shutoff
Take a moment to locate your main water shutoff. Make sure all household membersâincluding childrenâknow where it is and how to turn it off in case of an emergency.
If youâre unsure where itâs located, find your water meter (a meter key can be purchased at most hardware or home improvement stores).
