Lockhart Project- this 2nd phase of the renovations to the 110 year old house took about 6 months to complete. The original cladding was 2 inch thick stucco over chicken wire, wood window frames, and with no overhangs on the Gable ends, which had resulted in lots of water going into the wall cavities over the years, and termites Etc. Also the poorly built porch Foundation was nearly collapsing, and the chimney had developed a mean lean.

Here are some photos of the process, which included removing all of the old cladding, cutting out the rot, rebuilding both porches, repairs to chimney, section-by-section rebuilding 75% of the exterior walls, new Sierra Pacific aluminum-clad windows, properly insulatingand waterproofing the envelope, new wiring, updated plumbing and fixtures in the upstairs bathroom, and cosmetic restoration of the remaining plaster and floors interior...

Also thanks to Load Bearing Builders, llc, and all of the other trade partners for getting in there with us!
