Organic Tree Services is owned and operated by Doug Johnson, an Asheville local. Doug was raised in northern Idaho, where his father and uncle still run a sustainable logging practice. - We use energy efficient machines whenever possible (ex. hand saws, electric pole saws, electric motorcycle to provide bids)
- We remove infected wood from the property to avoid propagating airborne disease from on-site chipping
- We work with a tree’s natural ability to heal itself
- We don't treat with chemicals, ever
- When trees have to be removed, we aim to bring all merchantable trees to mills in order to save trees elsewhere (ask to see sample timber prices)
