Ridgeline Roofing is hiring!

We are looking to bring on two full-time Jobsite Monitors (JSM). Many companies would call this position a Project Manager, but at Ridgeline the role is focused on monitoring job progress, keeping projects running smoothly, and making sure our jobs, jobsites and customers are taken care of.

I want to be upfront about this position - the expectations are high.

Ridgeline Roofing has built its reputation in the Tri-State area on trust, professionalism, thoroughness, and service. Our Jobsite Monitors play a major role in maintaining that reputation. This is not a job for someone who calls off frequently, shows up late, is unreliable or makes excuses. Our crews and customers depend on this role being handled responsibly.

That said, for the right person this can be a very rewarding job, and as Ridgeline continues to grow the right candidates will have opportunities to grow with us.

This is a salaried position. Roofing is seasonal work, so the busy months can involve long hours while the winter months slow down considerably. Over the course of the year it balances out.

Responsibilities include:
• Visiting active job sites throughout the day
• Monitoring work quality and progress
• Communicating with Ridgeline employees and homeowners
• Taking photos and documenting job progress
• Ensuring projects stay on schedule

This is not a desk job. This is not a 9-5 job. Much of the day will be spent driving between job sites and being present in the field.

If a shingle-roof “rejuvenation” spray isn’t trusted on a healthy roof, how can it help a failing one?

There’s been a lot of debate - and even lawsuits - in the ‘roof rejuvenation’ industry over how these sprays are marketed and what they actually do. That’s exactly why shingle manufacturers don’t approve them. If the experts who make the shingles won’t stand behind them, we won’t either.

Every major shingle manufacturer - including Owens Corning Roofing, GAF - Roofing, CertainTeed, IKO Roofing, Atlas Shingles, and more - specifies in their warranty terms that applying any unapproved third-party coating or treatment may void their coverage. That’s not an accident.

These manufacturers have spent decades engineering how asphalt shingles age, seal, and shed water. When they warn against applying coatings, it’s because those products can potentially interfere with how shingles bond, ventilate, and release heat and moisture.

Sure, a spray might make an old shingle feel softer to the touch - that’s the “scientific proof” they lean on - but pliability isn’t protection. It doesn’t reseal nail holes, repair flashing, stop leaks, or replace lost granules.

Most roofs fail from the surface down - UV exposure, granule loss, cracked sealant lines, and heat fatigue. Those are structural, material failures, not cosmetic ones - and no surface treatment can reverse them.

So if a product isn’t trusted on a brand-new roof under warranty, why believe it’s a reliable fix for one that’s already breaking down?
