Winning awards such as Project of the Year from the American Public Works Association and Excellence in Masonry from the Masonry Advisory Council, the Arlington Heights Police Department was the final piece of the village’s redesigned municipal campus.
 
The windows incorporate a local twist - Due to the emerald ash borer infestation, Ash trees in the village needed to be harvested, and instead of heading for local fireplaces, they were used in a number of wood products in the building, including the windows. That exact wood sourcing might not be an everyday occurrence for us, but we were happy to be part of a project with unique personality and a story to tell.

H Window is excited to announce our acquisition of Lamboo — a natural next step in a partnership built on innovation, craftsmanship, and sustainable materials.

For years, Lamboo has supplied H Window with its signature laminated bamboo for our windows, doors, and timber curtain walls — including the laminated‑bamboo curtain wall at MSP Airport Terminal 2. Lamboo also offered H Window‑manufactured products under the Lamboo Vue brand.

With this acquisition, we’re bringing our expertise and capabilities together under one roof. Lamboo’s manufacturing operations will relocate from Litchfield, IL to Ashland, WI, expanding our capacity and strengthening our commitment to low‑carbon, natural‑material building systems.

The Lamboo Vue brand will be sunset as we unify all window and curtain wall products under the H Window name. Lamboo will continue producing its full range of interior and exterior architectural bamboo products.

Together, we’re shaping the future of high‑performance, sustainable building materials.

This past Saturday, thousands of skiers, hikers, and snowshoers made their way across Chequamegon bay in the annual Book Across the Bay race. The H Window crew manned an aid station along the way and it was a night to remember. We can't wait to get back out there and support such a vibrant, local event next year! Unlike its other mountain neighbors, the operation of this Bensonwood home is entirely electric. Thanks to the 10KW solar array on the roof, its Arctic air-to-water heat pump system, heat pump hot water heater, and all electric appliances can operate fossil fuel free. However, energy use is only part of the story - this home has the exterior envelope to match.

We are thrilled to announce that Rock Ridge High School in Virginia, MN, designed by Cuningham Design and DSGW Architecture, has been awarded the prestigious James D. MacConnell Award. Presented only once each year, The MacConnell is an international honor recognizing the world's most outstanding school design project.

As the manufacturer of the timber curtain wall featured throughout the building, we are proud to have played a role in a project that exemplifies educational innovation, sustainability, and community impact.

On the south shore of Lake Superior, David's family retreat offers a space to reconnect to nature and the surrounding environment. He offers his thoughts on the importance of windows in the design process and their ultimate impact on the living experience.

"Every season, our space is unique and painted with the different colors of fall leaves, summer greens, or even winter whites and blues. The windows create a sense of presence with the space so we feel connected to the outside."
