In a few short months, a new park took shape at the corner of W 11th Street and Troy Road.

Thanks to community member donations, contractors' in-kind contributions, and the Rotary Club of Ashland's diligent project oversight, the Lincoln Community Park is complete.

Hats off to the many hands and hearts who made this park come to life!

Chris joins Simonson as our equipment transport specialist, helping ensure our heavy equipment arrives safely at jobsites and our fleet stays well maintained. His strong background in transportation is a great fit for the role, and we are excited to have him.

Big progress continues in Sunbury!

Summer brought significant milestones for the City of Sunbury, Ohio's Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion & Improvement Project. From major structural work to equipment upgrades, crews are advancing in several areas throughout the site to support the expanded treatment capacity and improve operations.

Here’s a look at what has happened since March:

- Clarifier #3: Excavation is complete for the nearly 30-foot-deep structure, which spans almost 100 feet at its widest point. Shoring is installed along the west side.

- Digester #4: Taken out of service for conversion to a new UV and post-aeration tank, the final treatment stage before wastewater leaves the plant.

- Digester upgrades: New air piping has been installed in all existing digesters.

- Flocculation and coagulation tanks: Concrete and rebar work is complete. Equipment and aluminum platforms remain.

- Tertiary building: Masonry, concrete, and structural steel are complete, with the membrane roof and interior equipment remaining.

- Backfill complete around the tertiary filter building, tertiary drain and pump stations, and new Digesters #4 and #5.

- Sludge transfer basement pumps and grinders are installed.

- Solids handling: A new screw press has replaced the old unit, more than doubling its output.

- Operations building addition: Concrete, structural steel, and roofing are complete.

From significant excavation and structural construction to equipment upgrades that are already delivering increased output, each milestone moves this project closer to completion.

We’re proud to be part of this important investment in Sunbury’s wastewater infrastructure and grateful to the crews and project partners working through each phase to keep progress moving forward.

Yesterday, we celebrated Lee and Timmy’s first day with Simonson. Today, we’re celebrating Amy Willie’s first year with the team!

In just one year, Amy has become a greatly appreciated part of the Simonson team. Her kindness, professionalism, and willingness to help wherever needed make a difference every day.

Her soft-spoken nature brings a steady presence to our team, and she has a way of balancing out the many personalities around her. She’s also a quick learner, even if she might not give herself credit for it!

We’re grateful for everything Amy has contributed during her first year and look forward to all that’s ahead.

Happy one-year anniversary, Amy! We’re glad you’re part of the team!
