What’s better than one 20th work anniversary? Two!

Today, we’re also recognizing Tim Eagle for 20 years with Simonson Construction.

Since joining SCS, Tim has served in leadership roles where his attention to detail, reliability, and communication skills have consistently benefited our team and clients. As a superintendent, he takes pride in seeing projects through and helping keep work moving forward successfully.

Simonson has relied on Tim’s leadership on projects including the Plymouth Volunteer Firefighter's Association new fire station, the completion of the Hillsdale Local Schools PK-12 campus, and the current wastewater treatment plant expansion for the City of Sunbury, Ohio.

Thank you, Tim, for your hard work, leadership, and dedication over the last 20 years. We appreciate all you do for the team.

Today marks 20-year work anniversaries for TWO Simonson Construction employees.

First up, Steve Eagle!

Steve recently stepped into a foreman role, where his experience and craftsmanship continue to show in the work he does each day. Known for his quiet demeanor and dependable approach, he consistently produces superior work that makes our company proud.

His craftsmanship can be found in projects such as Westwood Alliance Church renovation and addition, the Mansfield Richland County Public Library Learning Lab and Ontario branch renovations, and the Cutty Wing addition at the Ashland County Community Foundation.

Thank you, Steve, for your hard work and dedication over the years. We’re grateful to have you on the team.

Today marks one year of Ryan Weaver!

Technically, his journey with SCS began two years ago through a work-release program at Heartland Technical Education Center. Since then, Ryan has gained valuable hands-on experience with our building crew and completed his first year of the apprenticeship program with the Associated Builders and Contractors of Northern Ohio. We're excited to see the positive momentum continue.

Thank you for your contributions, Ryan. Let's see what's in store for year two!

We have the freedom to choose how we spend this holiday, but freedom is never free.

This Memorial Day, we honor the military men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. We also remember the Gold Star families who carry the weight of that loss every day. Today, we pay our respects and express our gratitude for their sacrifice.

Today, we’re celebrating 25 years of Doug Beattie at Simonson Construction Services.

Doug began his career with Simonson as a laborer/operator and worked his way through the ranks to become one of our most trusted excavation superintendents. Over the years, he has successfully led many complicated projects with the kind of attention to detail, job knowledge, and leadership that set the standard for those around him.

When Doug is leading a project, we know it will be completed on time and to the best of his ability. He leads by example, operates with reliability and self-sufficiency, and continues to be an incredibly valuable part of our team.

Thank you for 25 years of hard work, leadership, and dedication, Doug! We’re proud to have you on the SCS team.

The Junior Achievement of North Central Ohio Destination Career event hosted 1,100 students today, challenging businesses to create immersive, hands-on experiences. So, why not bring a Simonson job site to the kids?

At our station, students had the opportunity to ride in a scissor lift to install hat channel on a metal stud wall, bolt together fittings on a water main, and test their nail-driving skills against their peers.

Thank you to Dan M, Brent, Tim E, Lindsey, John S, and Sally for helping make the day a success. We had a great time connecting with the students and hope they enjoyed the experience, too!
