Everything about this cabin is so beautiful inside and out. Randall Putman and his crew, along with others have worked on it day in and day out. It has so much history and beautiful craftsmanship.
We love all the history and generations that have lived here. The walls tell stories and will continue to hold many more stories and memories.
The owners are so sweet and sent me some history on it, that I could share with all of y’all!
The Gaston Cabin is more than an old log house — it is the story of my family.
My family settled here before Alabama became a state, and generations have called this land home. My dad was born in this cabin, where he and his siblings grew up surrounded by family, faith, hard work and community.
He always dreamed of restoring it. Fulfilling that dream has been one of the greatest honors of my life.
Today, the cabin holds our family photographs, letters and keepsakes, preserving the stories of those who came before us and the foundation they built for future generations.
This cabin is our history, our roots and a reminder to never forget where we came from. Randall Putman Lisa Gaston - Real Estate Broker - Compass RE
