The new year is a great time to practice better plumbing habits! Consider what you put down the kitchen sink when cooking & cleaning up. When in doubt, throw it in the trash bin! Here are a few items to avoid throwing down the garbage disposal:
❌ Bones & Shells (such as oyster & egg)
❌ Grease & Cooking Oil
❌ Harsh chemicals/cleaning products & Paints
❌ Nuts & Oats
❌ Coffee Grounds
❌ Pasta
❌ Potato Peels & Fibrous Vegetable & their stems

🦃 If you're cooking a turkey for Thanksgiving, don't forget to start thawing it today! And when it comes time to feast, remember that bones, skins & fats should all be tossed in the trash bin, not down the drain.

🍂Fall Plumbing Tip 🍂The best time to prepare for cold weather is... before it gets here! Remember to disconnect your water hose from the hose bib & store it for the winter. This can help stop interior pipes, connected to the outdoors water faucet, from freezing.
